Functional Nutrition is based in the science of Functional Medicine. It is a biochemical, systems-based approach to health and wellness. The most important focus is to find the root cause of dysfunction, not just cover up symptoms. In order to find the root cause, we utilize functional labs testing and genetics, as well as digging into diet, lifestyle, stress factors, exercise habits, medical history, and family history to get a clear understanding of the best way to bring balance back to the body.

Nikki is a functional nutritionist and founder of Taste Life Nutrition, a practice dedicated to strategic, evidence-based nutritional consulting to meet the needs of the biochemical individuality of each client. Functional nutrition is a biochemical systems-based approach utilizing functional lab testing and addressing the whole person – genetics, experiences, history, environment, and lifestyle – to create optimal functioning of the body, not just cover up symptoms.Nikki has a Master’s degree in Science, she is a Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, and Master Nutrition Therapist. She works with many different conditions in practice including: • Reproductive health and fertility• Hormone balance• Autoimmunity• GI health • Blood sugar balance• Cardiovascular health • Weight management• Canine NutritionAlthough Nikki’s focus is human health and nutrition, she also guides dog parents in transitioning to real, healthy foods when dealing with health conditions that many of our furry family members suffer from today. Nikki is originally from Texas, but currently lives and works as a functional nutritionist in beautiful Wheat Ridge, CO. She works with clients all over the country as well as outside of the US.
